Privacy Policy

Last updated · 2026-05-06

This page explains what data blockexplorer.dev collects when you visit, why, and what your choices are. We've tried to keep it short and honest.

What we don't collect

  • No accounts, no logins. We never ask you to sign up.
  • No wallet connections, no signature requests, no on-chain interaction.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
  • We do not sell or rent any data to anyone.

What we do collect

Server access logs

Our reverse proxy (nginx behind Cloudflare) records each HTTP request — including your IP address, the URL you visited, your User-Agent, the referrer, and a timestamp. These logs are kept for at most 30 days for diagnostic and abuse-prevention purposes, then rotated out. They are not joined to any other identifier.

Plausible Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics (self-hosted at stats.blockexplorer.dev) to understand which pages are popular. Plausible is cookie-less and does not collect any personally identifying information; your IP is hashed in-memory and discarded after the request.

Google AdSense

To help cover hosting costs, we display ads served by Google AdSense on some pages. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including, in some regions, personalized advertising. You can:

Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies for tracking or advertising. Plausible uses none. We may use localStorage on your device to remember UI preferences such as your selected theme (light/dark) and chart range. Third-party services we embed (currently Google AdSense and the Google Fonts CDN) may set their own cookies per their respective policies.

Your rights

If you're in the EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, request deletion of access logs containing your IP, and opt out of personalized advertising (see the AdSense links above). Email us and we'll handle it.
